Well. It’s not that often that your big sister gets married to the man of her dreams is it?
I guess this is about as good as it gets in a profession like this. I think it’s great to have a strong connection with the people that you photograph. It makes the images that much more personal but in this instance, it goes way beyond that. To be involved in Susie and Pete’s wedding in this way was an honour and I will cherish that time with them forever.
Susie and Pete are a perfect match. They are the embodiment of true love. You can see it when they look at each other. You feel it when they’re together and their wedding day was an extension of them. It was a celebration of their love for each other and the things they love.
This, naturally, meant a big, big party. London Town style. With a wedding on the side. It couldn’t have been better.
By the end of the evening, my legs were sore from dancing and my cheeks even more so from smiling. I flew from Australia to London just for this day and I’d do it again a thousand times over. It was one of those gatherings where all the pieces fit into place and life feels truly wonderful.
Susie and Pete: If you need a photographer for your 1st anniversary. I’m there.
Love you guys x
