I love photographing engagement shoots for a few reasons. There’s none of the time pressures of a wedding day and you can really have some fun without worrying about guests, worrying about the schedule, worrying about anything really. It’s just two people having some fun, taking photos and documenting a time in their life full of love and laughter.
Now, although this photo shoot did all of these things, it’s not exactly… traditional.
Lauren: “We’re going to get married on a farm style retreat, so, we were thinking of doing something a bit different for our engagement shoot”.
Me: “What did you have in mind? Maybe something a bit more urban, inner city perhaps?”
Lauren: “Well, one of our first dates was at Dreamworld Theme Park on the Gold Coast. Victor and I love theme parks. What if we did it there?”
Me: “Are you kidding? YES! That will be so much fun!”
Lauren and Victor: “Done. Let’s do it!”
Dreamworld Australia were amazingly helpful and made it so easy for us to use their excellent theme park for a morning of serious fun! We made a deal that if we managed to pull this off, when we finished, I’d throw the camera gear in the car and then we go on some rides.
The proof that this happened is at the bottom of this post….
Thanks Lauren and Victor – I’m so lucky that doing things like this is what I call my ‘job’! You guys rock. x
