A couple of Saturdays ago, I got to hang out with Jess and Adam. They’re good friends of our good friends. So, naturally, I knew we would be good friends too!
Jess and Adam have basically gutted their house and built it from the ground up with attention to every detail. They are very proud of the home they’ve built and it’s easy to see why. Full of character and life, it’s the perfect place to bring up a family. Just add a couple of chickens and a waist high pooch named Rupert and the picture is pretty much complete.
We started the shoot with some challenges, (Jack was not feeling well and their dog Rupert had decided I was an intruder and attempted to eat me, face first – never work with animals and children they say!) It’s always something you just have to work with but by the end of the afternoon, we were all having great fun, there were lots of laughs thanks to a perfectly positioned whoopie cushion and I think their pictures have a lot of love in them.
Hope you enjoy the pics guys, you’ve got a gorgeous family xx
I introduce to you, Archer Cullen Walker – he’s the newest newborn I’ve ever met and he’s a little star. Shan and Pete asked Helen and I to come down to their home on the Gold Coast and spend a few hours taking some natural light portraits of them with their gorgeous new addition.
This way of doing newborn photography may not be the go-to option for most people but I love it. Shan and Pete had everything to hand when needed and when little Archie got tired, he could just nap at home for a wee while.
It’s obvious already Shan and Pete are naturals when it comes to parenting and I hope they can look back on these pictures for years to come and remember their little man when he was truly tiny. One thing’s for sure, that’s already changing and I reckon he’s gonna be a heart breaker!
This was a first for both little Flynn and I. It was his first photo shoot and it was my first newborn photo shoot. We were both a little nervous but fortunately for me, he was a little superstar. Nathaniel and Tenille have a beautiful old Queensland home and they wanted to have elements of their home in the photography and I love that idea. I think it’s so important to be comfortable when having your newborn photography taken. So what could be better than having them taken at home? Secretly, I think Flynn enjoyed his photo shoot. I know I did!
